OPACOS (Opaque)

I understand my body as a landscape of impressions—permeable, solid, sincere, and deceptive. To approach its study, I analyze the optical properties used to classify objects based on how light interacts with them. With its unique characteristics, photography becomes the perfect tool to translate this entire process.

I photograph myself to understand the emotions I experience daily, which leave their mark on my skin, posture, eyes, and voice.

Anger, anguish, fear, and hope intertwine, hiding within a body that transforms into an emotional map captured in self-portraits. This map is a fundamental rereading that helps make sense of everyday life. Like light, these moments of self-knowledge and reflection reveal what remains unseen as stimuli and energies, shifting depending on the nature of each emotion.

What remains unseen may flow through me, become stuck, or bounce back, shaping the map I represent for those who wish to read me.

Photography stops the process. It gives me time to react, identify, and heal. That’s how I see it.

We invite you to experiment with music

We have selected songs designed to inspire you and boost your creativity, connecting you with emotions and perspectives you may not have explored yet. Find a quiet place, put on your headphones, and listen to the songs. Observe how your ideas evolve and experience THE BODY.
