Once again, ANDANA takes a step further by designing innovative photography workshops. On April 8, 2017, in Valencia, a group of boys and girls aged 9 to 12 will participate in the Creative Photography for Beginners workshop.
This workshop aims to encourage each participant to use photography as a tool to express themselves and discover the world.
With the guidance of psychologist Amparo Muñoz and photographers Javier Sancho Boils and Ismael Nadal, participants will learn to observe mindfully, become aware of their gaze, and create their own photographs. In addition, they will carry out exercises to foster their self-knowledge and creativity.
Using playful and creative resources and introducing various contemporary photography projects, each participant will develop their own personal photography project, just like contemporary artists, expressing what brings them joy or makes them uneasy through a series of photographs.
“We propose teaching photography as an opportunity in childhood. Photography allows us to explore, learn, and share our discoveries of the world. Each child will identify what they enjoy photographing and discover that taking pictures is a form of self-discovery. Through images, they will share stories and express everything they find interesting.”
.
In a collaborative and respectful way, within a safe and supportive environment, they will recognize and create their own images, feeling empowered and courageous.

ANDANA has previously launched similar workshops in various organizations and educational centers, using photography as a tool for personal growth and development.
