Start: June 2, 2025.
First edition.
Pride, gluttony, wrath, greed, envy, lust, and sloth—these are the sins we’ve been taught. But in the 21st century, we can’t help but wonder—do we still sin, or has the concept of sin become obsolete and forgotten? Sin was once closely tied to the existence of God, but it also reflects the relationships between people and the impact our actions have on ourselves and others.
Are there newer sins in today’s world? Have new sins emerged? What about mindlessly scrolling through your phone, ignoring everything and everyone around you? Would that be considered a sin? Is throwing garbage and creating meaningless images a sin? Are the seven deadly sins really sins?
We will attempt to answer these questions, always drawing inspiration from contemporary photography—our springboard. Art has been the perfect medium for channeling our most elemental passions—a space for connection, self-knowledge, and recognizing our inner voice.
With Sins, we invite you to enjoy, play, and reflect—finding joy and opportunities for introspection as you capture your ideas and thoughts through images. This journey will bring you closer to contemporary art and to your most genuine and authentic project. Let’s sin.
With a theoretical foundation rooted in psychology and the creative processes of contemporary art, you will receive the content of this training every Monday and Friday from June 2 to June 27. This content will include audio, inspiring artists, photography exercises, reflections on sins, and recommended music. You will explore a total of 8 sins. Each sin will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to listen to, read, and enjoy. Once you receive the content, you can decide when to access it and complete the suggested activities.
I invite you to embark on this experience with an open and curious mind—a game, a way of looking at things without preconceptions, neither accepting nor rejecting anything. Simply embrace each message you receive and enjoy the journey of getting to know yourself, as if meeting someone for the first time.

What People Have to Say About this Workshop
I really liked the way you approached the concept of sins from a perspective that resonates with our times and free of judgment. You did so in a practical and real way. It helped me reflect a lot, especially on Human Rights and the Common Good.
I really enjoyed the time spent reflecting and thinking about the exercises. Amparo has developed each sin thoughtfully, and the recommended songs are very fitting. I’ve gained a lot of insight from each artist. It has been a very positive experience, and I highly recommend it. Congratulations, and thank you ❤️
Reflecting on each of the sins was insightful and broadened my perspective. The way they were approached made pride, wrath, and greed the sins that most mobilized me. I enjoy writing, so for each one, I told a brief story and tried to portray it through a picture. It was an enriching and creative experience.
Sins is one of the training experiences I’ve enjoyed the most—perhaps because it allowed me to work from a personal perspective while connecting photography with my emotions and the world around me.
It was an interesting and fun way to create enthusiasm for photographing things I once considered foreign or unimportant, while also fostering an interest in understanding “contemporary sins.”
I feel that everyone should know about this magnificent work of yours—you are truly inspiring.
I allowed myself to observe sins from a different perspective, to commit a couple of them and accept them, and to acknowledge that I need to work on my wrath and greed. At times, I felt frustrated for not being able to capture the conceived sin through a photo.
Every training opportunity promises change. Through the comprehensive approach and the suggested activities paired with a loving and clear process evident in every aspect, I have gained a profound understanding of human behavior. I could break free from old paradigms that had been holding me back. I feel complete. Thank you for transforming my gaze. Until next time!
It was a major challenge. I didn’t take any photographs for a long time due to “sloth” and because of life’s distractions (or my own). I believe that what another point of view presents undoubtedly helps us grow, or at least allows us to see things differently, question ourselves, rethink ideas, and give creativity a chance to play for a while. This is a real opportunity for self-knowledge and connection with our inner world. Thank you so much for this opportunity and for creating this space.
It was liberating. I did some very interesting creative work during the pandemic, but now I’m finding it difficult to find the motivation or time for photography. The workshop inspired me and helped me realize that I can organize my days to dedicate time to photography and personal enjoyment.
